Bordo Boy Plumbs Honduran Bordo Culture With A Flip Cam

By Our Little Roses Film Crew

While shooting the fourth leg of our documentary feature film in San Pedro Sula, the crew handed a Flip camera to a 17-year-old boy who offered to film his home turf - an area considered off limits to journalists and film-makers.

The footage he captured around his home in El Bordo - a term used to describe off-the-grid neighborhoods alongside the river that runs close by the orphanage where we are filming - surpassed the crew's expectations. Luis delivers an intimate insider's look into his family, friends and neighborhood.

We cut a few of the highlights here.

Thank you, Luis! It's our pleasure to be working with you.
